Artist

John Gorrie was born in Birmingham Alabama, Nov 6, 1937. He Graduated from High School in 1955. He attended Auburn University whereupon he bounced around between the schools at Auburn, wasting his Father’s money. He married Gail in 1970 and they had a son, John, in 1975. He had a very short, inauspicious, career as a salesman before turning to visual arts.  In addition to painting, John is an accomplished musician and has written an opera.
