Fay Lee is from South Alabama and presently lives in Montgomery. She first took painting classes while living in New York, and has taken classes and workshops in Montgomery and other areas. She has won many awards and her paintings are in collections all over the USA and other countries. Her paintings in corporate collections include the collections of Southland Construction Company and the Fitzpatrick Family Partnership. She has been accepted into numerous juried shows and won many awards. She is a member of the Society of Arts & Crafts, the Montgomery Art Guild, the Elmore County Art Guild, the Shelby County Art Association, the Eastern Shore Art Association, the Experimental Artists of Alabama, and the WAOAPOA Art Group. She is represented by SAC's Gallery in Montgomery.
