Kathie McLeod, a native of Montgomery, is a graduate
of Sidney Lanier High School. She also attended the University of Montevallo
and took art classes at Huntingdon College. She lived three years in
New York and twelve years in Birmingham before returning to Montgomery
in 1979. Since then, she has been able to work on art out of her home.
She is, for the most part, a self-taught artist.
She was a student of the late Paul Tate and now paints
with Donnave Lindsey and Clark Walker. She enjoys working with watercolor,
painting still life, landscapes, and nature. Her work has been accepted
into the Region Bank/Montgomery Art Guild juried shows. She is a member
of the Armory Gallery Committee, and SAC's Gallery, where her work is
